Anybody run this kit? I've been running it and having some issues and I'm not sure if it is because of the kit or not.

Well the left rotor outer edge rubs the caliper for one. It's really loud and annoying. And the friction coefficient sucks. They don't have any bite. My car stops fine as I can make the ABS kick in, but it takes a good amount of pedal to do so. Everything in the entire brake system has been replaced with new parts. Everything... And I bled it properly including the ABS system. This was about a year ago and it hasn't get any better or worse.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

no rubbing
No rubbing should occur on anything other then the friction surface of the pads.
That is a problem. Just so we know, exactly what big break kit did you purchase?
get a part number from their site.
did the big break kit come with calipers?
If not make sure all of your calipers are the same, and that the pads you have are for the correct calipers, cb7 come with akebono or nissin, they are different and require different pads.
if you have upgraded to 15vn calipers make sure the rotors you have are the correct width for your brackets. look for 23t if you are using the prelude rotors (23mm) and 25t (25mm) with most other 15vn caliper rotors.
if the calipers are non honda then you may have to look it up.
Also pads are not all created equal. look at upgrading to hawk or ebc (I personally run ebc red stuff pads and love them)
when you say you have replaced everything in the break setup, does that include the master cylinder and soft lines. The soft lines got old and the lining can separate causing issues and also loose some of their regidity and bulge when pressure is applied.Last edited by Ghetto_CB7; 01-06-2012, 06:37 PM.

It's just on the left one, I took my entire brake system off and put all the new stuff online. I assume sin TAS only gave one option then everything was appropriate to fit on my car.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

I'll check tomorrow. It's warm in north Idaho right now, but warm for us is still quite frigid!'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing

I would pull the right caliper off and see what bracket it has. Maybe it's a 25t bracket and the left is a 23t? I bought my calipers from drivewire.com and they sent me a 23t for one side and a 25t for the other. Sent the 25t caliper back and they sent me a replacement, also a 25t. Gave up on that and just bought used ITR 23t calipers off ebay and rebuilt/painted them.
Long story short, it's apparently somewhat easy to mix these calipers up, so this could easily be your problem and TAS auto possibly never even noticed the 2mm difference between brackets without actually comparing the stampings on the brackets.
I'm just running the Prelude VTEC Powerslot 11.2" rotors and ITR 23T calipers. I use Hawk HP+ pads and really like them.

I can tell you from experience that the pads TAS sends you with the brake kit suck. Also, since you have a larger rotor, it takes longer for the pads to get up to the right temperature...so you are going to lose a little bit of cold bite. Its pretty normal. There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

As an update, the center clip for the pads on the outside edge of the rotor between the the rotor and caliper was rubbing. Wore down pretty nasty. Had to rip it out, problem fixed.'93 H22A 5SPD SE - MRT - DIY-Turbo Sizing
