    upgrading, what would you recommend??

    Hey guys how's it goin?

I'm going to be upgrading the brakes on my car and was wondering what brands you guys would recommend for pads and rotors for the front of my car, I already have my stainless braided lines ordered for the car but was wondering what brand of rotors you guys have had some good experiences with, such as brembo, brands like that. Also I'm looking for a brake pad that's going to be good to use on the streets since I'm not taking the car on the track, I've heard a lot of good things about axxis and EBC pads but I'm not sure so any help would be appreciated

    respect. You can't buy it.
You earn it. One run at a time.
You can't talk about it 'cause

i already posted this somewhere alse but here it is again. If you dont already have it, a rear disc conversion is the single best upgrade for our cars. Combine that with some EBC "green stuff" pads and thats all you need. Unless your racing your car upgrading to slotted or drilled rotors is a mistake. In reality all your doing is reducing the surface area of your rotors which in turn reduces performance. There are exceptions but for the most part you will not be gaining anything. Your rotors will not get hot enough, unless your consitantly driving it hard, to need slots or holes in it. However if you feel the need to "upgrade" stay away from drilled rotors. It creates weak spots in the rotors and most of them will crack.

I have some dimpled and slotted rotors (not to be confused with cross drilled) with ebc green stuff. I had some PBR metal masters or something like that and braking was better than stock but they built up terrible brake dust within a small amount of time. On top of that, if you didn't clean the wheels off every few days, the dust would actually seep INTO the wheels and that stuff does not come off. I am very happy with the EBC green stuff once they were broken in and would recommend them.

I just upgraded to the Brembo drilled rotors and AEM pads and love the combination. I do admit that the drilled rotors probably arent going to respond any different than some blanks but I like em alot so far. The pads are awesome. Hardly any dust!

brembo slotted w/ EBC "green stuff" pads works wonders.

blank rotors and good pads is all you need...make sure you are keeping the fluid fresh as well

find the cheapest set of rotors...they are all the same...as far as pads...there's alot of popular recommendations already

no need for any 4 piston caliper upgrades, expensive/worthless drilled/slotted or anything (although upgrading the rear drums to discs can help brake force balance and allow the rear tires to help in braking, thus reducing stopping distance)...however, the stock setup has enough clamping force to exceed the limits of pretty much any street tire...if you exceed the grip of your tires, there's nothing that's gonna make you stop faster but to upgrade tires

I have heard excellent things about Brembo Rotors, and EBC Green Stuff pads. I don't think you could EVER go wrong, also the steel braids are suppose to help a TON!

93 Accord LX with PowerStop drilled rotors and EBC "GreenStuff" pads. The rotors did indeed stop the car in a shorter distance, even with stock pads. Add the EBC pads and stopping distance was improved even more. I don't think I would ever go back! I think I may go with steel braided lines next (at least the next front brake upgrade). Still need to do the rear disc conversion though once I can figure out exactly what parts I need.

i still have stock calipers i mean there is nothing wrong with 2 or 4 piston caliper upgrades, but unless you want to spend the $$$ for them, and you're pushing some serious HP, then stock calipers will do. as previously posted, Brembo slotted and EBC "green stuff" pads works the best. much better than Axxis pads, and minimal dusting, if any.
