    Has this occurred to anyone?

Lets say you have a 5 lug swapped cb7.

That means you have the same calipers as the accord wagon, itr, bb6 prelude, etc. If you look up the part numbers, the rotors are the same in the front between the itr and bb6 lude.

Now...we know the prelude front rotors fit on the 5 lug swapped accord no problem, regardless of prelude or odyssey knuckles being used.

SO....a big brake kit for a 5 lug ITR should fit straight on to a 5 lug swapped cb7. Why has no one tried this? This opens the possibilities like crazy. Wilwood, Brembo, Project Mu, Stop Tech, etc.

It sounds like its possible, and expensive. lol You just have to make sure you have the proper caliper brackets. There are 3 of them that fit on the cb i belive. 23t, 25t, and 27t.
    Bought From : SE_DynamiK, oneoffaccord, and TopCop182

Exactly, that all just depends on the thickness of the rotor though, which is inherently taken care of by the parts in the brake kit.

The only real issue should be caliper placement. A small shim, or washers should be all that's needed to make it work.

If you go the big brake route, better get really good tires too. I autocross my car and I just have the prelude 4 lug front brake upgrade and my brakes are far more superior than my tires. My tires aren't the best, but just wanted to throw this out there.

It should be, but you never know until you try it out.

Its quite the pricey route for better stopping power.

I'm aware, but thanks for the heads up. I will be doing the prelude vtec brake setup as well after the 5 lug swap (though i already have the 4 lug version already installed) but I will get better pads and rotors and see how that does for the time being. Having good enough tires only matters when you reach the skid-point. Before that, a larger kit will slow the car faster and brake fade will be greatly reduced. I know what you're saying though. I will be able to lock up the fronts with plenty of braking force still in reserve if the tires aren't sticky enough.

Fastbrakes can do a kit with wilwood superlite's and 12.6" rotors, brake lines, pads, etc for 855. That's cheap actually. Have you seen how much others cost like Brembo, Project Mu, Stoptech, etc?
