    Painting Rotor vents

Ok, so the face of the brake rotors obviously does not rust because the pads are constantly rubbing against them. The edges of the rotors always seem to rust out though. Has anyone painted that part of their rotors? Any bad effects? I think it would be fine to do since that part doesn't come in contact with anything.

It would look a litle odd IMHO. I also think that even with a high temp paint you'd lose it pretty quickly.

Rotor vents? When would you get to see those? You might as well paint the axles...

You can see them through most alloys with traditional spokes. I'm not too concerned about what it looks like though. I would just use a flat-black paint. I want to do this to keep them from rusting. All rotors rust there that aren't zinc-coated.

you could always spray rust converter on them. later.

I was actually thinking about this yesterday.
I'm going to paint them with high-temp black sometime before I get new wheels.

When I put my new brakes on, I can do a write-up on this and later on show how it holds up.

Yeah, my next set will be plated, but I have the TAS rotors for the ROH big brake kit right now, and I don't think they're coated. So for now, I paint.
