yes i agree we need a diy in changing rotors i have to do that as soon as my rotors come in and i never done this before so please diy on it of course with pics
For anyone that is thinking about changing the brakes, and keeping the car for a while, you might want to do what i did. I upgraded them to rotor over hub which is what most cars use... its much easier to change the rotors(2 bolts and 2 screws).
Theres a link to what i followed. You can just do the hubs, rotors, bearings and have it done. Or you can also upgrade calipers and everything.
My brakes were real bad, and I was thinking about having a shop change the pads/rotors/bearings since i knew it was i pain in the butt. They wanted 600. I did this upgrade, and spent about 450 on the rotors/hubs/bearings/master cylinder/calipers/AEM pads. It was definately worth it.
If you are thinking about doing this conversion, you will prolly want to go to the acura dealer and order the hubs first, because last I heard, they were on national backorder. Other than that, parts are readily available.
Yea I agree we definetly need a diy for changing brakes. My brakes need to be changed I went to midas and they were trying to charge me $900 for new pads, rotor, and a master cylinder.
ya they will give you a good deal on pads and rotors and they do a great job but they will try to screw you on the bigeer things like slave cylinder... ill get a DIY posted in 2-3 weeks it depends how much i get paid next week
