When lowering you should use a spring Compressor.. See im ghetto and i did it without it I mean the spring didnt fly anywhere i just stood on it and yeah it just kinda Poped off. It was no biggie.. The rear of the car is alot easeir to do then the front

ok well what i had to do is make sure you loosen the bottom of the fork bolt first. i used a peace of pipe for some leverage its a 17mm bolt you need wrench on the other side or else the bolt will move. also spray some pb blaster or wd40. once you get it lose leave the bolt in there and loosen the 14mm bolt that goes around the shock. also you will probably have to use a pipe it makes it easer to break loose. then take out the bottom bolt and drop the fork down and push on the disc of the breaks to give you more room to get the fork out. i hope this helps you.

Dude use a spring compressor, I don't want to see you die (ie. upper strut nut through eyeball or somthing crazy), there free at autozone($40 deposit) make sure you get the strut spring compressor. For stuck bolts use a breaker bar(pipe to extend wrench), Soak all nuts and bolts in PB'laster(penetrating oil) for a while. If that dosent work heat them up a little with a torch(had to do that on my rear lower strut mount bolts). Yeah the book had undo the ends of the spabilizer bar, don't know why? I did it any way. I just installed sportlines 2 weeks ago, if you have any other questions just ask. You may be done by now, since you posted a couple weeks ago, but maybe this will help someone else. late
