I'm riding on Tein SS coilovers right now. They are kinda..blah I wouldn't get them if I had a chance to go back. But whatever, they're good for DD but thats about it. I had Ground controls with gr2's back in 04 and I liked them better.. well not better, just they were a lil stiffer.

WHAT suspension set-up are you running? And how would you rate it?

EG/EK/DC Skunk2 coilover sleeves (448/336#)
Skunk2 shocks/Tokico Illuminas
Sleeves + Skunk2 shocks- 5/10- Setup sucked. Shocks were just too soft for the shocks. Sleeves are too short in the rear, but the shocks raise the car a bit so it was at an acceptable height. Low to low medium speed damping was just unacceptably weak. Would have been a much better match with Skunk2 springs...
Sleeves + Illuminas- 7/10- Setup is ok. The good- shocks are strong, even though I bought them super used. Low speed damping is great, and the car feels stable during most maneuvers. Way more stable than my last setup (Neuspeed Sport/Koni Yellows/ST swaybars). Trail braking is great, braking + turning in is just great. Car is just very stable.
The bad- Car is too low, all problems associated with that detract from the ride. Also, stiff springs + shocks kinda "pop" over sharp impacts. Rides way stiffer than my Maxima did, which had full coilovers sitting on the same spring rate springs (different suspension design, w/e blow me). Need to replace a bunch of bushings... will do when I change to 5 lug
Thinkin of gettin AGXs, savin up for longer springs or sleeves (whatever's cheaper)

When people run 205/40s on 17s it looks so bad, cause the tires look so miniature.... just my opinion, but def. keep the tires...

honestly 45's look great on 17" rims, plus its the closest to the original tire height and you'll retain your correct speedo.

Skunk2 Springs.
Skunk2 Shocks.
Lowered about 1.5" in rear, 2" in front.
I'd rate it at an 8, simply because I'd like to be a little lower in the rear.
However, that's my ONLY complaint on this setup.
It's a very comfortable ride (only a bit stiffer than stock) while cruising.
But, since they're progressive, they really stiffen up in the turns.

Dropzone Lowering Springs
OEM struts
ride: 9/10
looks: 9/10
i would give this set up a perfect 10 but they were too soft for my taste. the drop was cool but not low enough. i didnt want any kind of gap. i had a 1.5 finger gap int he front and 2 in the rear.
now:
Ebay coilovers(again)
ride:8/10 in the city
5/10 on the highway
looks: looks nice with my car dropped this low.
its ebay. i traded my Dropzones for these. soon ill be getting someon Megan Racing Coilovers sleeves tho. see how those ride.

i don't care much for the coilovers, but the shocks are great. i'd say 7
