1990 DX coupe
rear ex sway bar swap
Koni str.t front and rear
megan racing springs and adjustable sleeves front and rear
all bushings replaced with energy suspension polyurethane bushings
no name front and rear strut tower bars and lower tie bar
a little stiffer then stock but defiantly comfortable for daily driving and it preforms quite well when needed.. not bouncy except in my case im so low and running 16's with 215/45/16 tires that my a-arms are smacking the frame.. all in all i highly recommend this set up for people on a budget!

1993 Honda Accord EX coupe (manual)
Bridgestone Potenza 960AS Pole Position Tires
Stock 15" 6 Star EX Alloys
Autolife Function & Form Type I Coilovers
I'm at about a 2" drop in the front, and about 1.5" in the rear. Car sits very nice with a slight tilt/slant with emphasis toward the front of the vehicle. I also have lots of room to raise or lower it if I decide to for different reasons. Also, they are very user friendly and easy to install.
Ride quality: I say about a 7.75/10. Reasoning. I live in Philadelphia where certain places have huge potholes, bumps, and dips (they become a lil' uncomfortable, but manageable). Other than that, they are comfortable. More comfortable than the blown stock/struts that I was on. The ride isn't really harsh unless you hit a big pothole or speed bump. If you have smooth roads, it'll feel like you're riding on a brand new stock suspension set-up.
Stiffness: I give it about an 8.25/10. I'm sure there are stiffer set-ups out there. This ones suits me for my aggressive daily driving. My car will be tracked eventually. I can take on/off ramps will minimal body roll at very high speeds, and my car changes lanes almost instantaneously when I want it to (very smoothly too).
Edit: One additional item that wasn't mentioned. They can have a tad bit/very little amount of bounciness. Not much, and very subtle. You'll notice it's there, but not irritating.
I say overall: 8/10.Last edited by Straight Success; 08-10-2011, 05:34 PM.The Lord watches over me!

I have Neuspeed sport with new gen koni yellows (think difference is, rear strut only has 2 perchs and no need for bumpstops?)
Id rate everything at about 8-8 1/2 but its because i have the 01 accord front knuckles with no camber kit. it feels nice and smooth but on some potholes it sounds like my car will fall apart.

F2 Type-Is : 9.5/10
Pros : Don't have to worry about a saggy ass after a few months being on a wagon.
Cons : Could be a smidgen softer on the interstate, but it's not enough of a problem (IMO) for Type-IIs for $200+ more.

I won't say which company to protect the innocent, but after prying at a tech for a good half hour, I learned that some of those coilovers are made at the same factory, but then the internals are different depending on the brand, and colors are changed...
I know that has been known by some people on here for awhile. However, the same guy said he was personally doing some side research to see if the internals can be interchanged with parts from Bilstein, Ohlins, Koni, Penske, etc.
Can you imagine!? Buy a set of cheap D2's and re-valve yourself? Put on better springs too and you could have race worthy shocks for under 1500!!There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!
