    Hub rings???

Can someone tell me what "Hub Rings" are? A couple of places I have been looking at for new wheels and tires for the Accord say their packages come with "hub rings". What are they and what are they for?

    Thanks.

Hey hub rings are used to center the rim onto your hub, its hard to describe but they are little lastic rings that you slide into the inside of the rim so that it seets nicely when you bolt it up.

Well, both set of wheels I have been looking at have had the hub rings as part of the package. I have been looking at the Konig Holes (from www.discounttiredirect.com ) or the Motegi FF6 in HyperBlack (from www.wheelmax.com ).

Speaking of which, Discount Tire Direct quoted me a pretty good price for 4 17x7 Konig Holes and 4 215/45-17 Nitto NeoGens. The price was $1050 for wheels and tires, mounted and balanced, with valve stems, hub rings, "tuner" lug nuts, and delivery in 3-5 days. And the Konigs are a WHOLE pound lighter than the Motegi's.

Although, I am starting to get a soft spot for the Motegi name as they are the same name as the race track in Japan where Honda recently won a race, finally.

thanks for posted this thread I always wondered what those rings were...I thought there were supposed to adjust the wheel offset or something.

i like the konig...there's less of them...I see alot motegi here on this site especially

HOLES are good....i like the verdicts and some other models

i just recently but 15" rims (cheaper tires) after looking at some 17"s there was a set on ebay that I looked at and they ended up not being bid on....he relisted them and there going for 550 shipped w/ tires and they look brand new. There konig Appeals...I wasnt a big fan but for that price I almost considered buying them and even reselling if I ended up not liking them.
