lots of problems..

    lots of problems..

    hard to know where to begin..it all seems to have started after i had my car in for a break job, after driving it i began hearing a louder than usual noise from the front left side of the car as i went over bumps and holes in the road, also at a slow speed i can hear a noise at a certain point in each rotation, not loud. The steering seems to have more play in it and i have a fair amount or wiggling around at about 90 to 110 km/h. Uhm what else...when i reverse theres a high pitched metal screech?! wtf is that? and the front left seems moan if i turn it while im barely moving! ANY comments or guesses at what could be going on would be GREATLY appreciated, im hopin this can be fixed easily and cheaply..but just checkin to see if anyone can offer up some advice before i take it in..thanks alot!

    How long ago was the brake job, and if it was recently take it back to them. Like within a week. If it wasn't, take the wheel off and there's going to be something obviously wrong. Just don't keep driving it around.

      ok, at tire's plus, this is what we do..

      Since I doubt you ahve access to a lift, take a floor jack, and get the front end up in the air..lift it by the pinch weld..I know most everyone already does this, but some do the suspension, especially on trucks, or they lift it by the pumkin( on trucks) So, do it by the pinch weld, to allow free play of the front end. Now, before removing the tire, grab the sides of the wheel, at 9-o'clock and 3-o'clock, and shake back and forth. Then grab at about 10-11-o'clock and 4-5-o'clock..and shake..once again, grab at 12 and 6, and shake..press in at the top..now, this checks for a loose ball joint, inner or outer tie rod, or the bearing. It could very well be the bearing..did you get charged a new one? I recommend a bearing EVERY TIME you get brakes (for us pressed-on guys) sicne it is really hard to keep these bearings in good shape when pressing them out with are machines..they are grusome. So, I am guessing it is a bad bearing..from what I hear. I personally am not there, so I really have no idea. I would take it back to them, and see what's going on..it should be warrentied..jsut yell alot, and you will make them feel uncomfortable enough to work on it..lol.
      About the squeeking..what kidna pads did you get? did you get your rotors resurfaced? When yo utake the wheel off, are the rotors reflective, and mirror-y on the surface? That means they are "glazed over"..this is due to high heat braking, for extended amounts of time..anyways, check all of these things to get a better idea of what's going on. The squeeking could be a lot, as there are a lot of stuff going on in the front ends of these cars..

      about the wiggling..The wiggling and vibration could be that bearing we discussed, but also check the balance of your wheel and tire. They get high spots on them..especially when you let the car sit for long periods of time. Get the rim measured for runout, to see if it is not off-wack or anything. find' the tire's high spot, and if the road force machine has measured it at around 18..it's ok..any more, and I would rotate it 180 degrees around the rim. I ahve seen rims come in with road force, and they measured at 36 is some places..I fixed it, and they came back asking for me, and telling me that it has been the best thing ever done for them..I get tips..hehe So, check all of this, and get back to me..
