actually, do the stock struts have the allen wrench opening? i can''t remember. My Koni's have it, but my AGX's are machined on both sides to allow a wrench to be used to hold the shaft still.

yep, stocks have it, koni's have it, AGX's have the adjuster piece on top so they can hold a wrech on the sides instead.
Yea my stock struts had the allen wrench opening. Most aftermarket shocks or full coilovers that I've worked with have a flat machined tip for a wrench
