    Strut top mounts...taking off...

    I bought compressors and put it on there, now i try to unbolt it, and nothing will work worth a fucking bitch.....


    It just spins around......

    Any ideas?

    the metal is very soft. did you try holding it with an adjustable wrench?

      You need an allen wrench to hold it and another wrench to take off the nut.

              actually, do the stock struts have the allen wrench opening? i can''t remember. My Koni's have it, but my AGX's are machined on both sides to allow a wrench to be used to hold the shaft still.

                yep, stocks have it, koni's have it, AGX's have the adjuster piece on top so they can hold a wrech on the sides instead.

                  Yea my stock struts had the allen wrench opening. Most aftermarket shocks or full coilovers that I've worked with have a flat machined tip for a wrench
