Curbs..

I don't know about you guys, but when I pull into my driveway, I gotta get up a fricken curb! I hate that. It just bugs the hell outta me. not to mention that when it snows, sometimes the curb us worse..that's whay I was thinking some coilovers. I know the ride is a little crappier, since the spring is not as long as the reagular springs, but this way, I can raise my car up for winter, so I can clear those snowdrifts and such. Back to the point..accordtunerx, I see your video, and you got a rather flat surface to pull into for your driveway..what is the lowest I can go to get over that curb at the bottom of my driveway taht we minnesotans must suffer with?

How about Koni Sports (yellows) with adjustable spring perches? That will give you about 3/4" of range from the lowest to the highest, and you can do it pretty easily (just move the set ring up or down two notches) and accurately instead of counting turns of a threaded coilover perch.

Also, unless you are meticulous about cleaning off the threads of the coilovers thoroughly, and then spraying them down with WD40 before you adjust, you'll likely gall or strip the threads with a grain of sand or something and bind them up . . . they don't stay clean down there very long as you can probably imagine.

A H&R Cup Kit would also give you the same capability (with a nice matched spring rate to shock too) - $564 shipped here -

Well, I can't help you on the springs . . . I don't know how low you want the car to be, and how bad your driveway is or whatever.

All I'm saying is that with Koni Sports (yes, they make struts and shocks - www.koni-na.com) you could run, just as an example, H&R Sport springs, which drop an Accord about 1 3/4", you could run as high as 1 1/4" lower than stock and as low as 2" lower with the 3-position spring perches on the Konis.

so, i could drop it like 2 inches in hte rear, and 2.25 in the front, but then bring it back up ti just below stock height?..sounds good to me..

i would suggest the Koni Yellows too.
coilovers, or sleeves are hard to make even, and can actually have bad handling if they're not corner weighted or relatively even.

plus, dont forget, every time you change the height of you car, you have to get an alignment.

well, i work at tires plus, so that is not a problem..but, i do liek the smoother ride, and a coilover seems to have too much to it..i want those yellows, but what can I get that will drop her like accordtunerx, or the likes..and..if i drop it like 2.25 in the front, 2.00 in hte rear, will i get over my driveway, or will i need ot move out?

you should be find getting in and out of driveways. you just have to take them at angles and go slow
