Neuspeed Race springs + spring compressor

does anyone know if i need to compress Neuspeed Race springs if they're on stock shocks? the bolt on the tophat is seized and i'm thinking of just hacksawing it off, but i dont want it to shoot out at anyone or anything.

if i do need to compress it, how do you get the compressor in between the spring, since the top half of the coils and so close together?

If there's pressure on the spring then yes, get a compressor...

If the springs are all willy nilly and free between the shock and top hat you can hack freely.

there's pressure, but i can turn it. only thing is, there's no way i can get a compressor on the top coils

They don't have to be on the top coils...

I know the sports you dont need a compressor.

Put it near the middle coils, as best you can and tighten it. That's what I had to do. The compressor wasn't able to fully compress it since the coils I placed them on were so close, but it got it enough so that you can use your weight to compress it the rest of the way. This was when trying to bolt the top hat back on
