    Just from experience...
I did an alignment along with my suspension overhaul.
This was about 6 months ago.
Only now am I seeing my suspension system really settling (about 1/2" lower).
So I will be doing another alignment soon.
I guess my springs took a lot longer than I thought to settle.

      well firstly,

are you going coilover or spring?

      2ndly,

      how low are you going?

      and 3rdly,

depending on these factors you might have to get an alignment, i have heard that people with the eibach prokit, did not need an alignment, because the drop wasn't drastic. i would test drive the car after the install and if its pulling to one side then get an alignment, otherwise i wouldn't worry about it.

After I did my alignment, it is still pulling to one side. Why is that?

        Thanks

is it pulling when braking? or accelerating? or is it just pulling generally when rolling on a straight away?

also check the tires, and make sure camber wear isn't occuring, if it is then you most likely need a camber correction kit installed (ebay has cheap ones, eibach makes some, and so on) and then get another alignment.

Depending on the drop but it would have to be very minimal not to put the Camber & Toe out of specs. Anytime the suspension is Lowered it will increase Negative Camber and because of the suspension squatting the Toe will be affected as well. The Negative Toe angle (Toe Out) will increase and with the excess Negative Camber the Tyres will dramatically wear on the inner edges. When the rear is lowered the same occurs and the Thrust Angle is affected causing the car to track. With Adjustable Coil Overs anytime the Supension Height is Adjusted dramatically the Alignment will have to be reset.
Correct Tyre Pressures are also critical to how a car tracks. Also if a Tyre is fitted the wrong way round on the rim it can affect tracking. Same as Directional Tyres on the wrong side of the car.
Just another couple of things to check
              Cheers

It is pulling when braking and when I let off my steering wheel while moving.

                  check your brakes. Calipers/rotors/pads.

if the drop is less than 2.5'' i wouldnt worry about it
mine are 2.2 and its not pullin at all

                      1) too bad ur not saving money and doing it yourself....it's really a no brainer job.
2)anytime u change the height of your car and alignment will HELP the greater the height difference, the better off u will be getting an alignment
                      3) just get the alignment after 500miles of driving the thing. then all will be pretty much settled and u'll be good to go.

No problems here, 2.2 drop and no alignment/camber needed

I've had this problem on an old pick-up truck. After going to an alignment shop that I know, the mechanic told me to skip the alignment and get new tires. Counter intuitively, he said that the majority of 'pulling' that he's dealt with had to do with the tires rather than the alignment. I got the alignment anyway and the truck still pulled. I changed the tires and no more pulling.

Not to say that problems in suspension geometry won't cause pulling, but its something to think about. Good luck with it.

Shops like NTB offer deals where you can get an unlimited amount of alignments for "x" years for "$x". I have that deal (and haven't abused it nearly enough in my first year...damn lip), but I would look into getting that. Then you can get aligned right when you're first dropped and every so often afterwards.

I would wait 2 weeks after the initial drop to reset your suspension. It's not so much the camber that's going to be the issue as far as tire wear...its the toe.
