Will not so good tires cause problems

Ok here is my problem i was running my stock steelies for a while cus i needed a camber kit to correct my problem with my alignment. Now the 17in rims and tires have tread (not alot but some haha), And some camber wear on the inside edges. Now i got my alignment done yesterday and drove home and it was golden other than the balljoint kit slammin the inner fenderwell on big bumps..I got home and put my 17's back on now the back end does not feel planted to the road anymore. Almost like the toe is out again< had that problem before and the assend of the car starts to skip around on me at 60mph and small bumps. Do you think this could be from uneven tire ware.

Jumpiness sounds more like lack of compliance somewhere: stiff springs/bouncy shocks/over-inflated tires etc.

Yeah i hear what your saying. But new shocks, springs and alignment. Im going to take it to another shop and have them look at the alignment. Its coming from the rear. Strange thing is with my stock steelies and tires i dont feel it at all. Last time i changes parts out on the rear end there is the arm that connectes to the rear cross member and thats where you adjust the toe... I didnt know this when i took it off but when i put it back together and test drove it the back end wanted to jump to the right, only on real bumpy roads..And that is what it feels like again. Ha its like ur car is trying to race it's self and the back end is trying to pass the front. Gets a lil harry at speed.

Well, obviously running a 17" rim, you'll have a wider tire, so any camber issues will be amplified.

If you have directional tires, you can definitely run into issues with the tires tracking grooves in the road, I know I've had issues with that with my new tires, and I'm not really used to that yet.

Also, you know because of a smaller sidewall, your ride will be stiffer/harder, since you have less sidewall to absorb the shock. Are you running 40 series or 45 series tires?

Why didn't you have your alignment done with the tires you planned on using?

Im running 215-45-17 rims and tires and yes it tracks like a sob. But i never had a problem with them before when my ride was stock. So i lowered it on sportlines and it was fine other then the inside's of my tires wearing. Now i got the ingalls balljoint kit and had it aligned.Now i have my little problem. But again i didnt notice the problem with my steelies. Im thinking the dude didnt get the rear aligned like it should be, OR my wheels are too wide and the ass end is tracking with the road. Maybe a rear stablizer bar would help. Anywho im going to run it like this for another week till next payday and take it to another shop and have them check the alignment to verify its good and go from there. I do need some new tires anyways maybe some more sidewall is in order. Wish me luck.. if i cant get this worked out im looking to sale or trade my gunmetal eagle series 193. for some stock rims.

Its always better to do your alignment with the rims you plan to run.

Directionals suck ass, I need an alignment too but I'm waiting till I need new tires and get everything done at once.
