yeah I got the Rotas with useless tires already on them. the tires are almost brand new, but the camber wear is so bad on them the radials are poking out the sidewall. Plus they are the wrong size. They look too small!
I don't know if I want to go 205 cause of the extra weight it would add. Whats the point of light rotas if I just slap on extra rubber and steel?

At this point I would trade the rotas for a nice set of 5th gen 7-spoke alloys with good tires.

cuase of the little thing called money that some of us have a limited supply of. You get the deals that come to you when you have the opportunity. I got this full setup with Neuspeed Sports, and koni rears for $140. I sold my in dash DVD player on this forum and used the funds from that to pay for it so it actually cost me nothing. That is why.

Jeez hemlockz, I'd have taken that deal too. But hey, now get the fronts you need when you can. And yes, the weak shocks in front are allowing the the car to dip too much and scrape.

But fer chrissakes just look under there and verify what's actually scraping so you'll know, ya know?

OK --- my question: How's the vibration with that insert? Just a little more? About the same? And sorry, 5-sp or automatic? I was thinking you'd feel the benefits of the insert more with a 5-sp since there'd be no torque converter slop either.

Edit: (now sees manual tranny in sig pic)

deckeda, yeah, yeah I agree with you and wed3k. you're absolutely right. sometimes its frustrating like there was a full set of koni reds on HT for $90 that was in the classifieds for over a month by the time I found it... and when I emailed the guys he was like "oooh, just sold it 6 hours ago!" sometimes you just have to wait for the deals. I priced koni neuspeeds out to about 300 a set new. There will definetly be a better deal, but it might take a month or two to find it.

I would crawl under and look... but now that I'm lowered I can't fit my head under the front! I'll look next time I'm under there. Since i moved to the city I have to drive to my dads house to do any work on my car.

certainly didn't notice any increased vibration at idle because of the insert. It probably helps reduce vibration by restricting the movement. While driving there was was more vibration but just because of the new stiffer springs. The biggest thing that helped vibration at idle was uberdata/Crome tuning. Crome lets you adjust the multiplier for accessories and you can fine tune your idle.

What perch do you have the koni's set to? I have neuspeed race w/ koni yellows on the lowest perch and I rarely scrape or hit. So it's probably your old shocks causing you to.

Oh btw dude congrats on the drop feels comfortable doesnt it . As for the bottoming out part you need to put the bumpstops in the back and front it should stop the harshness out a littlebit
Hey I thought you weren't running any bump stops on your setup?
