yeah, I guess "dust boot" is the correct term. Mine had steel covers in the front to reuse but ruined rubber bellows in the rear that I had to make a second order for.

shouldn't sit that low, looks like the tein springs available for them are good for a 1.5" to 2" drop depending on sku. https://www.tein.com/srch/us_search....3&item=default

SaddleMtnMan, it looks like the distributor send me two of the same side shocks. The welded-on nut to the shock housing... Is supposed to face towards the front of the car.

Are these Koni orange specific to each side of the car?

The long bottom bolt won't slide through the shock mounting bracket. The bolt is prevented from going though, by a nut on the large arm /hub assembly.

If that makes any sense. I think they sent me two drivers side shocks.

Do you happen to have your Koni boxes or invoice showing part numbers?

I have two Koni "8050 1034". One of them should maybe be a 8050 1035? Or an 8050 1033? Designating left and right....

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Yes, the front shocks are side specific. The spring bucket and brake hose mount tabs are sided.

The rear shocks are not side specific as they do not have any specific mounting orientation, other than the rotation of the top hat.

I went to my spare parts pile and I do still have the boxes (put my old shocks/springs in them). The shocks I recieved from Koni are
        REAR: 2X 8050-1034
        FRONT: 1X 8050-1035L
        1X 8050-1035R
If you only have 1034's, sounds like they only sent you two rear shocks and not the front left/rights.

Thanks for that information. It seems that Koni did not make the rears side specific like Honda did. The rears are finished for now and I'm waiting on parts for the front.
