    camber question?

Should I get a camber kit???Wait until you lower your car and get an allignment printout. If the camber reading is within .2-.5 degrees of the stock spec (generally 1.0 to -1.0) then asess your need by looking or the next time you rotate your tires. If its past negative 1.5, then it might be a serious thought to get a camber kit.
ok i read that in the lowering faq, and wen i got my car aligned the camber was off by 1.5 exactly according to the place that did it for me, has anyone else had it off by that amount and how much wear did you notice on your tires?

As long as they knew how to set the Toe correctly (to 0) then your tires should wear fine.

I have about 3 degrees I would say, daily driven, my tires wear bad because I always mess up the toe during autocross. Still managed to get about 20k out of a set though. 1.5 is nothing to worry about.

my car has like -2.7 degrees of camber on the two front wheels and has been dropped for about 11 thousand miles now. The first 5 thousand I didn't notice the wear, but now it's really starting to show. I just rotated them every 3k miles to try to keep it even around.

yea 1.5 should be fine as long as your toe is in specs... toe creates alot of wear if its out of whack

ok, thats the type of info i was looking for, thanks guys, i was a little worried about my camber, but if its not to bad, then thats cool. and ill just have to keep my tires rotated. i had really bad toe before, and ive got pictures that prove it. so i gotta order two new tires for my front wheels unfortunately.

Just to show what some extra toe will do to ya. This was on my car at stock height. Hit something that knocked the toe out a few degrees on each side. Tires had treadwear rating of about 440(high) and had maybe... maybe 1k on them before this. 2-3 hours @ 90mph, this is what they looked like.

ok, so according to the place i need new upper adjustable ball joints in order to have my alignment done. for sum reason that sounds really strange. is that true, and if so, is there a place that i could order them online for cheaper then wut they were going to charge me, 138 bux a piece.

adjustable ball joints are to get your camber back to perfect or as close to it as possible. Just have the alignment shop zero out the toe.
