Sway Bars
A sway bar connects opposite (left/right) wheels together through short lever arms. A sway bar increases the suspension's roll stiffness, its resistance to body roll in turns.
An anti-roll bar has a spring rate based on the length, diameter, and build of the torsion bar and the geometry of its mounting points. Its principal effect is to resist roll towards the outside of a turn, keeping the body relatively flat.
