    Will these shocks work?

Hello all. After ordering up my proline kit from eibach, I decided replacing the shocks would be a good idea. Well, I was looking into bilstein or kyb agx's, when a few guys at work told me to go with something else. A mechanic, and a honda tuner told me to go with monroe reflex shocks. They said they would be jsut fine with those springs. Anyone have any ideas? Also, since the dropage will be 1.2-1.3 inches, I am not gonna need a camber kit, right? I thought it was for around 1.5-2.0 inch drops..

Well, you can't go wrong with Bilsteins or AGXs. That was probably your mechanic being price conservative considering you can get Monroes at most parts stores for a very little amount of money. May sound good but once on your car you're going to want something that's VERY good and something that will last. There's just no beating the AGXs for quality. Not to mention you have the added feature of adjusting them.

      yeah, go with agx's

about 300 shipped on ebay and they're externally adjustable for ride comfort all within easy reach (don't have to take the struts off the car)

monroe's are basically just a heavy duty oem replacement...don't waste your money with that stuff

find a better mechanic and don't listen to that honda tuner. agx's are good, IMO, tokico hp's or illumina's are better.

          werd.

I have illuminas on my accord with neuspeed races (1.5 finger gap all around) and it rides more comfortable than stock. They absorb bumps like nobody's business, and still stay stiff over the big dips.

of course koni yellows are the best aftermarket strut

but its out of many people's price range

i got my illuminas for 80 bucks for the front pair SHIPPED...

              I couldn't complain about that

damn $80!!!!, thats a greatass deal.the cheapest ive seen them for front and back is a little under $400 shipped.

one question for you agx owners. ive heard many different opinions on this, but do agx's blow easier when used on a drop over 2"?

if there is a chance of that happening, spending a little more now to get the illuminas is well worth it.

koni reds are awsome too. and not too expensive.
they are adjustable, but you have to take em off the car.
they're the same internally as the koni yellows, they just have slightly different valving.
they dont go quite as stiff as yellows, but they go pretty damn stiff.

because i didn't like the ride. plus being a dealer for some of the aftermarket stuff made me get konis cheaper
