    REVIEW: Neuspeed Sport Springs

*All suspension setups are paired with Neuspeed Koni Yellow shocks*

    What are they:
These springs are made from a reputable company with experience in suspension primarily in German vehicles but also in other imports. Neuspeed springs boast an aggressive, raked look.

    Price:
Bought them used but don't remember the price.

    Review:
The springs sat a little high at first with 3 fingers in front and 3.5 in front till I adjusted them via Konis. After riding around on the, they settled to roughly a 2 finger drop in the rear and 1 finger in the front. This is what Neuspeed advertised as far as how it was suppose to sit with a more "raked forward" look. Car looks more aggressive yet was not slammed. handling was much improved and so was ride quality. The ride was actually better than stock. Ride quality was firm yet smoother and felt more controlled over rough road. Similar to my other spring setups though, when I would lower it to where I wanted, the springs would be too soft for that height and would bottom out. My persuit for an increased ride quality stemmed from this setup where I felt I had the handling and look I basically wanted yet still lacked the ride I was looking for. This is a great setup and is still one of my favorites. I would recommend these springs to anyone looking for a decent drop that doesn't sit too low yet actually enhances ride quality.

    Pros:
Car sat how I wanted and as advertised. Ride quality was better and smoother than stock. One of my favorite spring setups.

    Cons:
At the height I lowered it via Konis, the springs were too soft for the way I drive. Can't think of anything else negative about these springs.

My car sits higher than yours Travis. Although you're still high for race IMO.

I am not sure why they sat around the same height initially before I made the height adjustements with the Konis. After I made the adjustments, the sport springs actually sat lower then the race. The Konis were on the same perch for both springs. I know one guy who had sport springs on stock shocks and his had no wheel gap. I thought he was on race. Shocks may have something to do with it as well although I am aware of others on the board that have the Neuspeed race and Neuspeed Koni setup. They sit on different perches than I do in order to achieve the same height. It just goes to show that not all springs are created equal.

I think because travis has big tires and his rims arnt stock. That may play a role in it

It may just be another example of the fact that not all springs of the same brand are created equal. Or, it could be your shocks. You should have seen Uncle El's. His was at like a 1 finger drop all the way around with his GR2 shocks and sport springs. He had to sit the Konis on the lowest perch all the way around to achieve the same drop if not a tad lower drop although the whole driving characteristics of the car were greatly enhanced. So the shocks might play a part in the height of how the car sits.

i have koni reds and i find it sits nice
the wheels + tire profile make a big difference as well.

i have 15's with a 55 profile. i have about 2.5 finger gap. the only thing is if i put my winters on i have less than a finger gap. so i cant go too low or i need new winter tires

im running sports on gr-2's and my driver side sits lower than my passanger side, its sitting like uneven and bugs the shit out of me, the springs are like 2yrs old and the shocks like 2 months i still cant figure out why the drop is uneven? other wise it rides and handles real good.
