    Shock Question ::

    Hey, i was wondering if we Can use Civic Shocks???
    Like that we'll have more stroke in the Shock and it will drop it lower.
    Right now im riding on Tokico Blue Shocks for the Accord.
    But i was thiking about a Tokico from a Civic or Integra.
    The shock is shorter and looks the same diameter.

    Anybody have any insights on this??

      You don't want to do that because those shocks that are specified for each applications are made to withstand each different vehicles weight. Tokico for the civic is designed to hold the civics weight or max weight same for integra and accord. Basically you are putting shocks designed to hold different weights on a car which will equal your shocks blowing out. If you want shorter shocks/struts theirs different application you can get for the accord. This is just my theory.

        Yea if anything you want shocks from something like an Odyssey or a Legend...but I dunno how those would fit.

          you can, but you would have to fabricate your own top hats and control arm mounts...the accord has different shock mounts than the civic and integra

          by the time you've finished customizing and rebuilding the shocks, you would have gone and shot yourself in the head for doing something so expensive with so little return

          if you are looking into getting shorter shocks, you can get your koni yellows shortened at koni usa

              I work at Pep Boys so I'm gonna compare Civic, CB7 and CG (6th gen) shocks...I think the CG's V6 shocks should have faster valving (aka be stiffer)...

              And as far as the fabrication stuff, from what I know the Civic/Integra both have the same shock design up front as us, and top hats don't matter...

              Front:

              Rear:

              They look pretty close actually...the only difference lies in the spring lengths. This info would prob. be beneficial to Civic owners more though as our shocks are stiffer...I'm really curious as to whether Odyssey/6th gen V6 shocks would work for us, and if the 6th gen V6 shocks have a different part # than the L4's...
