Springs. Unless you have a full coilover system like Tein, Omnipower, D2, etc...the ride won't be what you'd like it to be.

all depends on what u want outta it....springs if u don;t mind being stuck at the height forever lol and if u want a better ride quality. coilovers if u don;t mind a little bounce every now and then and if u want to adjust it to suit your needs. slammed for shows, little higher for street, and all the way up for winter! i personally have coilovers and love them bc i can adjust them whenever i choose to and it is real easy to adjust. ebay sucks with coilovers bc the threads rust and get jammed so u have trouble adjusting height.

again all up to basically how smooth you want your ride...u can get a smooth ride outta coilovers if u get a hefty expensive as hell custom valved "truely" shortened strut. 250-300 for each strut.

all i have to say it that everytime you adjust the coilover you need alignment, its not a macpherson strut so you have to worry about alignments

yeah, i'd just go with a regular drop spring, and then a performance drop shock...that will prolly suit your needs the best, and you will be very happy with the outcome!

if u only raise or lower it a inch or 2 then u don;t need to wry....but if u raise or lower it like 2+ inches then yes alignment is highly recommended. without an alignment or any camber adjustment (4.xx inch drop) my current tires have lasted 25k miles, i think they have another 5-10k on them....i just have to rotate them every 3k miles. yes def post up what u end up getting!

for the sake of your tires, especially if you just bought new 40-series like i just did...then save your tires and get a new alignment, it isnt much to absolutely guarantee the full life of your tires..

So you can raise or lower adjustable shocks without an alignment? I had it aligned when I first put the new shocks and springs.

Anway, that's good to know if thats true.

no raising or lowering with shocks. the springs determine the height, the shocks determine the stiffness.

well i can't get an alignment to a certain degree bc i almost rub as it is....even with rolled fenders lol....so alignment is out of the question. well i guess i could try and just tell them to get it to as close as possible to specs without my cutting off my tire from the fender hehe. and yes u can lower and raise the car without doing an alignment only and i mean only if you are changing it under 1.5-2 inches. any more change and u will want to get an alignment. any height adjustment will change camber and toe but alittle change won't hurt too bad at all.

first off your WRONG i do alignments at my job so even when you sit in a car and get out you have already change the alignment (camber wise). once you move the suspension travel 1/2in to 3.5in its going to be changed. it doesnt matter if you did a small drop. when you use cheap ass coil-overs you car getting a shitty ride. i bet if you put coil-overs in and drop it 2in its going to a lot different than stock, and then when you drop it from 2in to 4in its going to be a fucking big difference. and when you do adjust the coil-overs (show, street, race) its not going to be righton the money. i say GO WITH A DROP THAT YOU WILL LIKE AND KEEP IT THERE.

always get quality parts over a good deal on some crappy parts.

whether you want coilovers or springs (i think you should have read the suspension 101 thread), get something quality. ebay doesn't make coilovers, which proves the point of how crappy your coilovers are, as you don't even know the brand of the coilovers.

please note that is not true of all shocks, as koni yellow shocks are adjustable both in height and stiffness.
