hi i did a few searches and couidnt find much i was wondering if there are any upgrades besides rearl disc conversion such as bigger rotors from a nwere accord would somtin like that work

I personally just got done the '99 acura CL 3.0 front disk upgrade.
I'll list all the parts I used to upgrade to the newer bigger brakes:
99 Acura CL 2.3 front hubs
99 Acura CL 2.3 front wheel bearings
99 Acura CL 3.0 Loaded front calipers
99 Acura CL 3.0 Front rotors
Pads of your choice
Getting the old hubs off the knuckle was pretty tough. Another hard part was getting the axle nut off the ends of each axle. Find someone who has a hydrolic press just in case you need to press the hub and bearings together.
That said, please have a friend who knows alot about hondas and also has a impact wrench. Those two things made the whole process go much faster. We got everything together in just under 4 hours. And set aside a weekend to do this just in case you break something.
I can't really say too much about the setup yet other then the fact that it does brake a good bit eaiser. I will probably be able to say a bit more about how well it brakes after I get the new pads broken in after about 500 miles.~~~~~~~

pwrusr - how big are the rotors? I saw a CL on the freeway today and started thinking about this upgrade, but I had a few minor concerns... It looked like it was on 16" rims and the rotors looked huge.. Do you think they'll fit with 15s? I would measure, but I dont have acccess to a CL rotor to measu!re... oh and did you upgfrade your master cylinder for this massive calipers? ttyl

the prelude VTEC has 15 inch rims last I checked and it uses the same caliper. They will fit. All I know is, it took me 3 tries to get the rotor over hub conversion installed correctlyComment
