    tokico illuminas or kyb agx????

    I'm getting ready to lower my 92 accord sedan. I will be going with the Tein S-Tech springs and I want adjustable shocks/struts so that I can adjust the comfort of the ride. Which is the best for the money, KYB AGX or Tokico Illuminas? I have heard good things about both but I can get the KYB AGX's a little cheaper. anyone have any ideas? and will I need a camber kit?

    I likr Illuminas. I think most agree they handle drops better.

      I'm rocking AGX on a 1.8/1.5 drop (not 100% settled yet).

      At 3/4 up front and 5/8 out back I feel they handle really well, if not a bit too stiff. I plan on softening them up when I get a chance this weekend. By too stiff, I mean they're a bit bouncy for daily driving, but I had initially had them at 2/4 front and 4/8 back and thought I could increase the stiffness wihtout eroding the ride too much, but I feel that I'd rather trade some handling for ride.

      So I have nothing but praise for my AGX.

        shouldn't need a camber kit if you're not gonna drop more than 2"....

          I could have used one..I had the Tokico Illumina kit which claims a 1.25" drop. My front tires still showed lots of inside wear even after alignments.

            i love my AGXs, of course iv never had illumina's so i couldnt give a fair comparison.

                idk...200 dollar difference but my friend's ride is hella comfortable.

                      I just bought Tein S. Tech's ($165 CDN shipped!). The rates on these springs are only slightly higher than stock relative to many lowering springs, so a near OEM strut should match up well. From what I've found doing some research the KYB GR-2 is a nice combo. I know you said adjustable struts so that's cool if it's what you want.
                      I'm very interested to see what you choose and how you like it.
