Fender gap to wheel center thread?

We should get some kind of database going to get a feel for how people are dropped regardless of wheel/tire size. Basically just measure with a tape measure from the edge of the fender to the middle of the wheel, or the middle of the hub nut if possible. Here are the measurements I have so far, as well as my setup now for whoever's curious:

    STOCK: F- 15-16", R- 15-16"
    Tanabe DF210: F- 13 1/2-14", R- 13 3/4"
    My setup now (Front= coilovers, rear= DF210s): F: 12 1/2", R- 13" (system)

Hope to see some more measurements...

I never saw this thread. I think it's a great idea and reference. You have to post susp. setup and tire & wheel setup. And a picture. It would be great to see all the different combos on our cars in a nice organized fashion.
I'll spare you a pic of my giant gap until I put my Neuspeeds on.

How much does your wheel/tire combo weigh? Post here!

Why not to the floor dont you think there will be an issue with under inflated tires making the cars stance different.

No, different tire sizes will make a diference.

I dont get why you wouldnt go to the GROUND through the center of the wheel to the top of the fender. This would make more sense. Ill get measurments up monday.

Because as people said, the size of tire will make a difference. If two people have the same suspension, and one is running stock wheels while the other is running 19s, they'll have different readings for the height of the chassis from the ground. However, the distance from the fender to the center of the wheel is independent of whatever wheel/tire setup you have. Think about it.

If you like math like me, you can go one step further and use these numbers to calculate the gap you would get from changing wheels/tires. I'll post up some examples later.
