having my hub bearing replaced today, and they asked if i wanted them to replace these. same shop told me last time i went in that i needed springs and struts, but didn't mention this last time.

now, provided these need to be replaced, is it out of the question to do myself, having no air tools and only a general knowledge/haynes manual?

It's pretty easy if you have a couple jackstands and a couple 12-14mm sockets and or wrenches...

I just did all of this for the front, didn't touch the back though. If you need some tips let me know. What shop did you take your car to?

Do it yourself...you would be amazed how much suspension shops bullshit you and charge out the ass. Plus over half of them dont even know how to diagnose things like worn tie rods ect, so they will just tell you they are "bad"...do it yourself, or get a service manual for your car and check them yourself, imo this is the best way to know they are full of shit

basically u need the front end links, get the sway bar frame bushings too (the ones that hold the sway bar).

i bought energy suspension, the black one and its great, it was like 30 for the front but it worked out nicely...

it helps with body roll and lean

just don't be lazy and try to do it without suspending both the wheels... you'll just be making more work for yourself...

question...how much of an improvement am i seeing here with the upgraded front sway bar end links?
alll the bushings on mine are cracked.
also, would adding a polyurethane rear sway bushing upgrade be better for my stock rear sway?
i dont know the condition of those though, probably stock.

There's not enough rubber back there to worry about.

not adding but replacing the stock one.

There's _still_ very little rubber in the rear bar mounts.
