My New suspention going in Thursday!!

Finally gat it all together and set an appointment with a shop out here to do the work. It was a little different than I originally planned for but I'm very happy with the choices I made. Heres the pics..... Enjoy

nice man...i just put on agx's with neuspeeds and i love the feel...and then i noticed the guy who did my installed didnt put the collar that kyb sends you on, and the struts popped up thru the car and bent the pistons....PUT THAT COLLAR ON! but anyway, good shit have fun with the new feel.

The suspention DRAMA! "Warning: Long Winded!!"

WARNING: LONG STORY


So I woke up this morning all happy that my suspention was going to get completely done today but I guess I had a temporary lapse of memory. I forgot that there is nothing I can acomplish in my life that does not involve some form of hardship and trial.

First I go to the shop that was going to drop my car. This is the work that they were scheduled to do: Install springs and struts, itstall polyurothane(?) bushings, change front axles, intall front wheel studs(I had one broken and I knew one more was going to brake). I provided 3 front wheel studs and 2 rear just in case.
So I wait from 12pm till like 4pm and finally I see my car pull up. At first I was like "Oh Shit, That bitch looks nice!", and then the guy that drove my car up started talking and dropped the first bomb: "Those bushings that you got for us did'nt fit. They are for a Civic or somthing because they were all too small". I'm thinking I got those Energy Suspension bushing from Summit Racing; They say "90-93 Accord" right on the box.
Well Ok. Maybe Summit made a mistake.... No problem. Then I start looking around the car. My front passenger side has only TWO LUG NUTS! I said " Whats up with this?" He says "We could not replace it because you need a special tool to go around back to remove the old one." I was like "You got to be kidding me." He said "Look, Go to this shop down the road, the guy knows me he'll do it cheap. Then you have to go get it aligned and then bring it back so we can roll out the fenders." "So you guys didn't roll out the fenders? I know that your going to need to!" "Yes but we can't do it until you get it aligned so that we know how much to go out. But first you have to get the lug nuts right away because its dangerous to drive like that." I was like, "OK. I'm going to go do that right now." so I jump in my car and I start heading down the road at like 430 in the afternoon and I hear .... TAT.....TAT.....TAT....TAT. I knew this could'nt last for long so I hit a U-Turn and started to head back towards the shop. As I was going into the turning lane I hear PPOPPPP!!!! There goes one of the 2 lug nuts I had on that tire! I managed to just pull into the shopping center parking lot and I get out of my car and take a look. My brand new rim is sitting at a 45degree angle!!! I run into the shop and I told the guys "Hey, I need you help big time!" I'm holding up my last lug nut between my fingers. He just looks at me and says "Oh shit!" so these guys come out there along with a few customers they had in the shop for added embarasment and they jacked it up. This dude goes next door to a mechanics shop and those guys come out. This huge overweight redneck guy (no offense to all you rednecks out there) says "Yeah I'll do it but I have to take out the whole hub assembly. It'll be like $75." Well being that I could'nt move my car at tht point, I went for it. I stood there while they put my car on the lift and lo and behold, the mechanic, Mario, only had to take out the brake caliper to do this.The mechanic that worked on it was a good dude. But his boss ripped me off.

After about another hour of waiting I went to the place to get it aligned. I got there at 5pm. They told be that they could not get to my car till about 6 or 6:30. So I waited.... and waited some more. at about 7pm they pulled my car into the stall. After that it was quick. But The guy told me I REALLY need to get my fenders rolled out because its rubbing. I said " no problem. I'm getting it done in like 2 days." So I go on my merry way.

As I was riding, Every time I hit a bump I could hear it rub. It was often but not unbearable. So I'm finally going home and I make my way to the highway. As soon as I get on the on-ramp I hear "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". I figured it was because I was turning but it was pretty bad and consistent. Then I get into my lane and I hear "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ". Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT. I pull over and the rubber gasket on the drivers side rear is completly melted!! I did'nt know what to do so I cleared as much of it ad I could but it still made a nasty sound. I drove like 5 miles an hour on the highway till the next exit 2 miles down. When I pulled over I took off the gasket and bent the metal up. Then I take a look on the passenger side. It almost didn't rub at all! I take a step back and sure enough.... THE DRIVERS SIDE IS LOWER THAN THE PASSENGERS SIDE!

Well bending the metal was enough to get me home but not before stopping at the Ale House for a bucket of Icehouse.


Thats the story. I hope none of you have to go through this crap. Well here some pictures for all of you guys and girls. I even went out in a drizzle just because I knew I could't write this without pictures... I hope you poeple appreciate it, Damn it! I'm going to bed.

dang man...sorry to hear....give name and address of shop to adivse others against going there....if they knew what they were doing they would have fixed the stud problem first. rather than driving on two studs!...ive seen people over torque studs SooOOOooOOooOoOO many times its ridiculous.

hopefully you can find a better shop to take care of all your issues...

what drop do those springs give u? that sucks dude, there isnt a real big problem with the suspension tho right? its was just the hub and lug nuts and such?

thats the same setup i have on my car...i absolutely love it...good luck with the install
