One of my policies is to never have vendors in the Member Shops area that are competing with each other. We've had a long standing relationship with ESP, and they have continued to take care of my members, so I owe it to them to keep up with my end of things.
I'll allow these parts to be discussed and sold on this site, but there will be no offer for a Member Shop as long as the parts are in direct competition with ESP.

    Understood. Thank you, Mike.

I'll act as his rep until he has enough posts. I'm going to call him today to confirm some things regarding the bars and about his registering here.

I completely understand the conflict of interest situation with ESP and don't intend to take any business away from them. I did use them as a comparison point to what Pierce Motorsports is offering because ESP is the only other company offering higher caliber braces. I will avoid doing so in future posts as it's probably bad form.

So....you could use some new strut bars, right? lol

      Update:

      So, i talked to Jim and got the following;

Yes, he will make a non-adjustable c-pillar bar for us. I plan on getting a RSX c-pillar bar (which fits cb's) to use as a template.

Production lead time is roughly 4 weeks from inception to shipment.

The weld-in plate to run better rear suspension setup is going to have to be far more specific in request to be able to determine what needs to be modified. That said, he stated he's interested if we show him the demand.

I am going to call him next Friday, when he's done with his current tasks, to schedule a date to get my car mocked up for the rear 4-point brace. I will post as many pics of the process/product as possible.

It's not bad to compare ESP and Pierce. I mean, if they offer similar quality, options are good. I don't mean to make it sound like I don't encourage competition. I just can't go against my previous arrangements, and I've always promised my vendors that they would never have to compete directly with other vendors in the Member Shop area.
ESP, unlike practically every other parts vendor I've dealt with in the past, has ALWAYS been reliable and consistent. They, above all others, deserve my loyalty!

That being said, it sounds like a number of things Pierce is working on are things that ESP doesn't offer. We MAY be able to come to some sort of agreement. Regardless, they are welcome on this forum. Anyone that makes quality pieces for the CB7 is welcome, as long as they treat the members of this forum fairly!

I'm very excited about what Pierce is going to create for us. My goal with the suspension for my project is to see how much mechanical grip we can get out of the chassis before ride comfort is totally compromised. I want handling to be as precise as possible while still riding comfortably enough to drive daily.

Right now i'm going back and forth between replacing my shocks with either brand new Koni STR.t's or used yellows that might need to be re-valved. I still need to call Koni for a price quote on that. I just don't know if the adjustability will be worth the extra cost, considering all the supplementary parts i'll have on the car. Since setting the yellows higher for mechanical grip would make the ride more harsh with each click up, and the str.ts being about the same as the yellows on full soft, i figure it'd make as much sense to go with the str.ts and "tune" the rest of the adjustable suspension parts to work with the shock rates.

Picked up a progress rear sway and rsx c-pillar bar from Bensonx last night. Gonna use the rsx bar to prototype something sturdier specifically for our cb's.

x2 I still want some sporty or racey feel but not so much that I get a headache after driving it. I'm excited about the c-pillar. I'm in for that bar.

I think with the right combo of springs/shocks/bushings/braces our cars can feel just as planted and solid as much higher dollar cars.

I'll add you to the list.

Just got off the phone with Jim. This coming Wednesday he's gonna set my appointment for the rear 4 point and c-pillar brace prototyping. I'll take pics of the process and materials and post them here. Gonna have him install my Progress rear sway while he's in there, too.

                  Got some strut bar clarification:

                  2 POINT FRONT STRUT BAR_3 bolt flange_2 crossbars_Dimple died brace plate_unpainted = $295
**THERE MUST BE 10 ORDERS FOR THIS BAR TO BE PRODUCED.**

4 POINT FRONT LOWER TIE BAR BRACE_attaches to a-arm and rear subframe bolts_reduces toe deflection under load = $220
**MUST BE 10 ORDERS TO BE PRODUCED**
***RALLY OPTION INCLUDES MOUNTING TABS FOR SKIDPLATE***

6 POINT FRONT LOWER TIE BAR BRACE_adds 2 more contact points to 4 point tie bar_extra points connect to unibody frame rails for extra rigidity = $320
**MUST BE 10 ORDERS TO BE PRODUCED**
***RALLY OPTION INCLUDES MOUNTING TABS FOR SKIDPLATE***

So, basically, we can use Jim's parts catalog for the Veloster Turbo as a reference for what he'll make us and the pricing. We need a 10 person buy in to make it worth it for him to create the jig for the braces. We can request specific things for each brace or whatever and he'll work with us because he likes the chassis and the following it garners.

In for 6 point lower. It's about the same price as the UR bars for that portion of the chassis.

Word. These'll be better than the ur stuff, too. I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest in here to be honest.

                        Update:

So i'm scheduled to go into Pierce next Thursday, the 25th. Jim's going to make the 4-point rear trunk brace, the c-pillar brace and install my Progress rear sway.

Pics will be taken and posted.

                        I am officially excited.

I'm in for the 4 or 6 point front lower tie bar brace, but I'm concern that it wont clear the Bisi header. I have the UR 2 point lower front bar which hangs pretty low and it doesn't clear the Bisi header.

I'm in for the rear 4 point rear trunk brace, the 2 point front strut bar, and the c-pillar bar. But I need to see the bars first.

I'll talk with Jim about the tie bar clearance. It would help to have the bisi header dimensions so we know how much room needs to be kept for everything to fit.

Alright, i'll hold off on adding your name to the brace lists.

The 2 point front will look extremely similar to the ones i posted pics of earlier with the 2 cross bars and the dimple died brace plate, with two bolt points per side.

This design isn't yet set in stone and we have options to add a third bolt point to the flanges or make it a 3 point that attaches to the firewall instead, or maybe even having him base it off my neuspeed bar so that it's 2 angled half bars leading into the main cross bar, if that design is most effective.

I'll have pictures of the rear 4 point and c-pillar bar when i go in on the 25th.

I can't wait to see how my car is going to feel with all this extra bracing and some of the refresh parts i have going on! Got my Neuspeed front strut bar on already. Adding c-pillar bar, 4-point trunk brace AND Progress rear sway in one shot!

So, I'm at Pierce right now. They're installing the progress sway and Jim is fabbing up the rear strut bar that will connect to the trunk cross bars. Jim's doing the c pillar bar after that.

I'm taking pics as they go but uploading from my phone sucks on this areas' signal.

I talked to Jim about making a traction bar especially since esp seems to be having issues as of late and they're in high demand. We're working on materials, attachment points and price. I'll let you guys know what's up.

So my 2.5"exhaust might be too big and rub the sway bar. Lol

                                We shall see...
