I went to the parts store yesterday to get some pads and the salesman asked me which calipers do I have akebono or nissin.. I honestly didn't know the answer to this one can anyone help me out so I can tell. Thanks

For the record this only applies to front brakes. All rear brake calipers are the same
Have you taken your calipers off before?
If its a nissin caliper it will have a 14mm bolt thats fairly small that threads into the slide pin
If its an akebono caliper it will have a larger 17mm bolt that threads into the caliper itself and is the whole slide pin in one.
