I measured the gap from my tire and fender and holy shit its a 4 inch gap. This means I'll need adjustables if I want the drop to almost tuck right? I don't think the make springs that drop that low

I think your supposed to measure from the center of the wheel to the fender. I guess since that's where your strut basically is at. That's what I've heard anyway. I'm getting coilovers for my next car though.

Hmm? If I measure from the center, the number would be way larger. Then how would I determine how much of a drop I need?
Dude I want coilovers so bad! Lol before I joined this site I bought cheap ass eBay adjustables. My friends keep telling me to just use it but after chillin on this site a lot , I've learned that its not the smartest idea.
What kind of coilovers u plan on getting?BLOOD ON THE LEAVES

Yeah the number would be bigger. I'm not sure haha that's just what I've heard
Probably just F&F type ones. They're only like $500 ish dollars. Everyone on here seems to like them.

Any lower you will have to remove the mud flaps. You can lower at most an inch with your current setup. Get larger tires, that will decrease the gap between tire and fender and will raise the car off the ground more so you can lower the body more. Those look like 17" wheels, if so get some XXX/45R17 tires which are very close to what the factory tires were.Be unique, like every other person.

Well the larger tires will still reduce the gap between the two and it seems like your focus is on the fender/wheel rather than body/ground.Be unique, like every other person.

Well my wheels look quite the same to yours so you can at least have an idea of what they look like, I still need to do a drop myself but I have the 45R17 on.
Now that I re-read it are your wheels 17"?Be unique, like every other person.

I don't believe that there's a formula per se' but ..
Why not just get the F&F ones, and start out with 75% of the total drop .. and go from there?
Just be careful, because as XCRN stated above," your focus is on the fender/wheel rather than body/ground." Or, atleast it reads that way.
Nevertheless, the F&F will settle in about a year or so. Mine settled almost 5/8" in a lil over a year. If, when you're done at 75%, and it doesn't look right ..
keep working it until it is .. I'd def go with a 225/45/17 though .. that WILL help!
Pics when you're done .. I wanna see ..Last edited by PakaloloHonda; 08-18-2013, 06:15 PM.

You can just have worn out springs. That's a factory gap. Once I went with prokits it gave me a immediate 3 finger gap. So don't use your current height as a judgment. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I think I kinda understand. So if I got springs that lowered my car 2" it doesn't mean my car will be lowered 2" bc it's not the right height right now? So a 2" drop spring will prolly lower my car more then taking off 2" from what you see in the picture? Idk how to explain things sorry if my post sounds stupid lolBLOOD ON THE LEAVES
