    sway bar endlinks and spacers

H311RA151N pointed out to me that i did not install the spacers in my prothane endlinks. is this a major problem? we could not figure out it it was a bad thing or a good thing.

Well it's certainly not a good thing.

Whether you're talking about the cylindrical spacers or the washers you'll need to remove what you've got and install everything correctly. It has no structural integrity otherwise and is as if you didn't even have a sway bar up front.

alright. i did put all the washers in the right spot and it did make a difference in the handling. and a half inch spacer really make that much of a difference? what if i make a bigger spacer?

I wound up taking my spacers out because the way they sat the bushings were getting little cracks in them, once the spacers were out they had much less preload and look more "relaxed", the car turns better too, could just been psychosomatic though. 2" drop all around. I had asked many months ago and the general consensus was that if youre lowered more than an inch to do away with them. And some mentioned that their kits didnt even have them..I dont know if with those the old hardware was to be reused which didnt make much sense..

Are y'all talking about the tubular metal sleeve?

Several people don't use the spacers. But that's only if your lowered. There was a thread that explained why.

I'm lowered and I still had to tighten the nut down quite a bit before I could get everything to tighten up. If I hadn't had the sleeve in there I would be binding the sway bar on mine. I guess it may depend on how long the bolt is also.
