just got offered tokico blues with red springs. $100

Just got offered tokico blues, with red springs, he said they were hs springs or something. Would this be a decent deal? He said they were in good condition. he just needs extra money quick.

I wouldn't rely on "or something" to keep my car on the road.

Who is this person that you'd believe what they say? And if he needs extra money quick. Don't you think he would tell you whatever just to get money quick?

i think he meant hp. but that above picture is what he described. I'm gonna try and meet up with him later today to see if they are in good condition. I figure anything will be better than 20 year old struts.

6 month old blown struts aren't better than 20 year old good struts. Unless of course they're under warranty. These wont be for you.

well they are what is in the picture above, and the struts are not blown or anything. I guess he's just parting out his car. i'm driving up to wyoming on thursday to pick them up, so hopefully all goes well! I'll post pics when i get them.

Does anybody have pics of a cb lowered with this setup?

alright cool thanks. this is the picture he sent me of one of the rear struts.

He's also gonna throw in a front strut bar.

Those look like the entry level Tokico shocks and spring combo.

I had these a long time ago (2002) and they were fine. I thought the ride was comfortable and it was definitely better than stock. The drop was minimal and I believe its around 1.25 inches all around. At full price they are not worth it. But for $100 it's a good deal as long as the shock are still in good shape.

also keep in mind to never use coilovers or any spring more aggressive than the tokico springs. Because they will not last long and the shocks will blow.
