Practically nothing is produced "in house" these days. Function and Form Autolife coilovers are most certainly not. They're produced overseas, most likely in Taiwan or China.

That's not necessarily true. Ground Control owners running Koni Yellows are often very happy with their setup. It's all about having a reasonable spring rate, and shocks that are valved correctly for it. Cheap crap usually comes with an insanely high spring rate, and most people that buy cheap crap don't buy proper shocks (as proper shocks aren't cheap!)
The only difference between coilover sleeves and full-bodied coilovers is the fact that the full-bodied coilovers have the adjustment collar attached to the body, rather than separate. Ground Control sleeves and Koni Yellows would probably be a far superior setup to 80% of the similarly-priced full coilovers on the market for our cars today.

I hear bad bad stories about Junk 2 coilovers esp from most that have posted in this thread. The CB7 Collector.Team Kindred Impulse Member #392 LX Coupe F22A12013 Toyota Corolla S92 EX Sedan F22A1Originally posted by deevergoteDo you really need to make a thread asking if having your car like this /---\ will cause uneven tire wear? Try walking like that for a few weeks and see if your shoes wear funny! (hint: they will.)

Yellows will go good with any QUALITY spring.
My friend had some Junk 2 springs on Koni Yellows, and they were awful. Harsh ride, and they made noise. I gave him my H&R Race springs, which provided the same drop (and I'm quite sure a softer spring rate, even though they're fairly stiff), and it's markedly better. Smoother ride, no noise.
