You should be bolting all that up with your suspension under load.

Would it be OK if I drive like that for a day or 2 just to work and back many 5 mi a day?

          Absolutely not!

Undo the radius arm from the front.

If you were only putting yourself in danger that would be one thing if you made the choice to drive it anyways. But you could kill someone.

What is the eziest way to change springs then because this is my first time doing it and for some reason I feel like o didn't even need to unbolt that

How has the conversation progressed this far without someone being responsible enough to point out that the OP said his rod was too short? Come on, people! You're better than that!

OP, remove the lower shock mounting bolt and undo the lower ball joint. Then the lower control arm will move much more freely. You really shouldn't need to but if you're not getting it by undoing the strut rod from the front I don't want you forcing around a car on jack stands.

Are you talking about the bolt at the bottom of the fork?

And I only saw the ball joint on the upper controle arm?

                        Scary...

Yes remove the sway bar and knuckle from the LCA (where the lower ball joint is) and the strut fork from the LCA, bolt up the radius rod to the LCA, then re-assemble the fork, sway bar, and knuckle onto the LCA.

After you do it a few times it get easier... LOL

I'm sure you will be doing it all over again soon for other maintenance. I replaced everything at once to save time later on, but still ended up taking it apart a few more times after anyway for other things.

EDIT: Your sway bar looks like it is installed wrong too... Got any other photos? It should go like this:
                        nut
                        bevel washer
                        rubber bushing
                        sway bar
                        rubber bushing
                        bevel washer
                        spacer
                        bevel washer
                        rubber bushing
                        lower control arm
                        rubber bushing
                        bevel washer
                        bolt head

The sway bar is on right in that picture. It may just look a little funny.

OK so I got every thing back on but now its makeing a not so attractive rubbing/grinding noise when I bounce

When I took the spring off the the round cilinder over the top of the strut can off so I put it and the washer back on but when I was cleaning everything up I found a rubber busshing type peice.....was this supposed to go under the round calendar?
