    Angle of anchor bolts

On a stock height cb, the anchor bolts on the front UCA are straight up and down.

On a lowered cb. Would it make since to lean them forward toward the the balljoint? So the anchor bolt bushings are less twisted than they would be if in the oem position. Causing premature wear.

Mount them aligned like normal. They will move on their own.

Move on their own? You talking bout the bushing flexing, or the entire anchor bolt pivoting? Once they are torqued down, I don't think they should pivot on the bolt...

Just put them on like normal except leave the anchors to the arms loose, when the cars on the ground torque them down, kind of along the same lines with the lower strut mount bushing, torquing them when the cars on the ground so the bushings arent preloaded/twisted in a state of rest.

He's talking about a camber kit. There is the sliding ball joint camber kit and the adjustable anchor bolt camber kit.

The upper bushings are supposed to pivot on the bolt, however, due to a ton of stiction that the OEM setup has, many times the rubber insert of the bushings twist instead. Poly bushings help with this.

Install the upper arms just past finger tight, then torque them properly when the car is on the ground. Use a lot of high quality grease.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting. Didn't realize they were suppose to pivot on the bolt. I thought it was in a fixed position because of the centering mark on the control arm.

I know this is an old thread, but now I can chime in with experience, since I just did this today.

I installed an adjustable anchor bolt camber kit. They work by correcting the camber, but at the expense of having to hammer the shit out of your strut towers or cut them open to give clearance. Installing and adjusting them is easy.

The stock anchor bolts, when I install them, I put them in loose. Once I get the control arm fitted into the strut tower, I tighten down the 17mm bolts in the engine bay. Once those are done, then I get in there with two 14mm wrenches to tighten up the bolt and nut on each anchor.

Like explained before, the UCA's pivot on the bolt under load, so it doesn't matter how you install them. I just find if I have them loose and flopping around on the UCA, it's easier to get it back into place.
