    Mounting brakelines on aftermarket struts.

I'm curious what the community is doing when using struts that don't have mounting tabs for the front break lines.

Not wanting them to just hang, I put a zip tie through the holes. And around the strut. I'm worried about vibrating against the strut body. Eventually making a hole.

you won't vibrate a hole into your shock body. I've ran my brake lines like that for years.nothing wrong with it.

I realize my comment isn't helpful but this is something that really disappointed me about my coilovers. Of course the pictures before I bought them in no way alluded to there being any sort of mounting provisions. However, I assumed that something may have been included that no site ever pictured. I checked all of my OEM shocks and spares and none of them had removable brackets, but I thought some of them did. Does anyone have shocks, OEM or aftermarket, that have removable brake line brackets that clamp around the shock tube?

Looks good, good Idea. Maybe you can use a SS band clamp to hold some sort of L shaped piece of metal with a hole thats tapped or a bolt and nut thru it

My old set of Tein HA's had removable brake line brackets.
But I didn't buy them new so I'm not sure if they were included.

I'm more curious though to the OP first pic, Since he doesn't have the bracket (which essentially works as a spacer) the shock is sitting really quite low, Is the top fork bolt installed?

Edit I can see the notch for the bolt BELOW the bottom of the fork.

I have D2's on my CB, for the fronts they included a pair of flat brackets that you bend to your needs. It uses the pinch bolt on the damper fork. Here's a picture, post #2, it's the flat one @ the top, you would bend to what you need. It worked great w/ the factory rubber lines as well as my Earls SS lines.

And honestly, those wouldn't be too hard to make up yourself either.

When I get my next set of f&f`s im going to cut the OEM brake holder piece in half, slide it on the Coilover, and tighten it up with a clamp. It's one of those littler details that annoys me.
