    -/+ of Tire Size

I have a question for those of you who are riding on 215/225/235 mm width and 35/45/40 height. I like the beefy look on the cb7, but I don't know all the sacrifices that come with that look. Is that tire size to much stress on the joints or other parts and what are the effects for fuel econ.

I just switched to 225/45/17s and I'm still getting around 400 a tank. The joints will be stressed if you drive it hard regardless of tire size. And I'm stock height and running 3mm spacers because the back rubbed a bit.

Okay thanks. That's what I was trying to find out. You said something about the joints being stressed if you drive to hard right? Is there any thing you can do to counter this? Any stronger parts or something?

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure all of your bushings and ball joints are good. Those things tend to wear out on 20+ year old cars.

New, reputable manufacturer ball joints and tie rods. Napa blues, Moog Problem Solver, Raybestos/ACDelco Professional, etc. I have Deeza parts coming in based on the recommendation of some Prelude autoxers.
