    blown shock?

*cliffnotes* feels wierd. Way to check to see if it is blown without taking it all apart?

ok ive had my whole setup mabob on, tokico blues with tein springs, well i seem me feel as if the passenger side one is blown, i dunno why, i feel like i feel every single bump on the passenger side and i feel nothing on the drivers side, i dont know if its because im on that side, which has more wieght, or just im paying way to much attention to see whats wrong, i push down on it, same with both sides to see if there is a diff. they bounce the same, i jerk the wheel back and forth to see if they respond diff. but i dont know, i dont want to take it all apart to check to see if it is blown, so how else can i check it?..jack it up and do something maybe?..im so aggrevated cause i just blew so much on everything and it was a bitch to put it all on...i know i have the reciept just incase i need to send the fronts back or something, but all my stocks are blown lol, seeing how far i could launch them while taking them apart was fun, so damn, wtf...arg

if one shock is blows the suspension will be out of balance. Check wher eyou think it may be comin from on which side> IMO check em all make sure you dont see the shock all wet with oil lookin seriously tared up . If its wet and you pushed down on that side and its seriously bouncy then its blown just replace it.

yeah seems to look fine, but now i check my drivers side rear and its lower than all the others, by half the width of a pinky, tiny small difference, and ive had them only on for about a week now, i guess ill let it all settle and go from there and see what happends next.

        thanx

well if its blown there should be a sign of greasy stuff on the shock body. some blown shocks wont have grease on it. but my other way to check it is...jus take it off the car....fold a towel really thick and put it on the ground..put the tip of the shock rod on the towel...point the bottom up towards you and push down on the shocks. if it doest come up, its blown. if it comes up then its fine. if it comes up slow that is fine as well. good luck!
