Alright did my rear disc swap from a wagon about a rear ago and I can feel a decrese in performance and the pads are like new still. aren't they supposed to self adjust? I tightend up the e brake handle a bit and they work better? Anyone have an idea?I know the piston in the caliper spins out for adjustment but what makes it adjust? Thanks guys!

besides the proportioning valve, you should work the e-brake handle about 20 times. The piston is on a screw. although I didnt do a swap, after rebuilding the calipers and new pads/rotors it didnt seem like it was biting much. I was waiting on my old lady and I had it in neutral and was rolling back a little, I was bored and was working the e-brake, after she got in and I left my pedal felt a little stiffer and the back seemed to bite harder. So maybe you just need to work the piston a bit on the screw.
NOTE: After rear brake caliper servicing, loosen the parking brake adjusting nut, start the engine and press the brake pedal several times to set the self-adjusting brake before adjusting the parking brake.
Block the front wheels, then raise the rear of the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
Make sure the parking brake arm (A) on the rear brake caliper contacts the brake caliper pin (B).
Pull the parking brake lever up one click.
Remove the rear console lid.
Tighten the adjusting nut (A) until the parking brakes drag slightly when the rear wheels are turned.
Release the parking brake lever fully, and check that the parking brakes do not drag when the rear wheels are turned. Readjust if necessary.
Make sure that the parking brakes are fully applied when the parking brake lever is pulled up fully.
Lever Locked Clicks:
Vehicle With Rear Disc Brakes:
6-9
Adjust the parking brake if the lever clicks are out of specification.
