1992 EX clunking on deceleration or letting off gas

Ive googled, searched read, and googled some more, watched videos, read post and just gonna throw the symtoms out there. 2 Weeks ago i replace our out tie rods so we could get tires and have it aligned, The noise started with a pop from both sides right under our feet, now the noise has progressed, while we still get the pop when starting from a stop, theres now a clunking sound that only happens when decelerating, so if we let off the gas it clunks. The clunk is in time with engine speed, slower the car gets the slower the rythum of the clunk. The is no vibration at the steering wheel while this is taking place.

Im aware it could be upper ball joints, lower ball joints, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, wheel bearing, engine mounts.

With hands at 12-6 position theres no play
With hands at 3-9 position theres no play
The sway bar links are energy suspension, less than year old
It cannot be felt through the steering wheel so ruled out inner/outer links
I know its not the mounts, they are fine and the front is new
Not Axle shudder, been there done that

The bad, car has 315,000 on it, the upper/lower ball joint boots are cracked but havent had time to look at my own car this week from working on everyone elses, another thing im thinking is the sway bar bushings where it bolts to the chassis. The car wasnt well maintained until we got it and there was a massive oil leak somewheres saturating everything in oil, and what does oil do to old rubber? make it worse.

Basically looking for a starting point, possibally someone thats had this same issue. I dont wanna start chunking parts at it in hopes of finding the problem.

Is it an auto? Sounds like a bad rear mount.
