    Direct bolt on caliper upgrade?

    I've read gobs of stuff here on brake upgrades. Nice work and great write-ups by those who did them BTW. What I can't find, and am assuming the answer is no, -- Are there any calipers that are direct bolt on for the stock calipers which are any advantage over the stock single piston. (larger piston or dual piston?)

    To the best of my knowledge, there are no calipers that are a bolt on upgrade, since all of the better calipers are designed for use with the larger rotors. If you want better calipers you have to go with the larger rotors (which will make a much bigger difference than the better calipers would on their own) Correct me if I'm wrong though, I can't be 100% positive.

    Unless of course you have a cb9 wagon. Then your car is beast and can use the upgraded dual piston calipers from a legend.

      you can upgrade to an Acura Vigor brake setup, uses the same hub over rotor setup like ours, so its a pain in the ass, but it gives you 11.1" of brake rotor and the same pads as an NSX.

      You can't mix and match though, has to be ALL Vigor parts to work,

        OEM Big Brake Kit Set-Up Using Acura Legend Dual-Piston Calipers

        - 25T 91-93 Accord Wagon Caliper Brackets (find the 25T mark on the caliper bracket)

        - 91-93 Accord Wagon Rotors

        - Acura Legend DUAL-Piston Calipers (Can be found on 93-95 Legend Coupes, or 94-95 Legend Sedans, IIRC)

        - 95 Acura Legend Coupe pads (or the pads that work with the legend dual-caliper, or in general for whatever caliper you use)

        Keep in mind that the Legend Dual-Piston Calipers are oriented differently than ours. When installed properly (left side on the left side, right on the right) the bleeder valves will be upside down. So when bleeding your brakes, unbolt the bottom caliper bolt, swing it up so that the bleeder valve is upright, stick a block of wood in there to act as a rotor, and bleed normally.

          theres a write up on this type of thread...
          wat about going ROH using cl parts. retaining ur calipers and braket, get cl hubs and bearings.


          or from wat i thought and got didnt put on yet...

          25t bracket from wagon- and caliper-h22 rotor- h22 pads=11.1 in setup givin the option to change rotors easily in the future. not to mention its kinda like a frankein brake swap

              That wasn't a helpful or informative post at all. I guess it flows well with the rest of this thread, though.

              There are so many models that can use the same calipers and the brackets and rotors should always be paired together. There are many more posts on here where myself and others cover exactly what anyone needs to know about pairing parts for OEM brake combinations.
