ok, well im having trouble with my hubs now, they seem to have an excessive amount of play. they will shake when im driving, and the car just doesnt seem like its on firm footing at all. i pressed everything in myself, and i know it was all done correctly. heres what it does. when i move the hub by hand side to side the whole axle itself shakes. this should not be happening i know. it causes the brakes to be partially engaged at times, and they get very hot, making my brakes feel terrible.

EDIT: i figured it out, the outer bearing cover was stuck on the old hub, and thats what caused my problem . . . i should have checked all that stuff before reassembly, but i guess thats my fault. its good to know what was wrong tho.

in response to your question EG-Si hatch, i was told that there are no aftermarket hubs made and that all you can get are genuine honda parts. im not sure how accurate that statement is since you seem to have attained some aftermarket hubs, but my hubs did not come with bearings, but it did come with studs. the part you could be seeing is the hub bearing assembly, not the hub itself.

Glad you got it fixed. I had a mechanic press my bearings out and put the new ones on, and I remember he had a hell of a time getting the "outer race" off the hub, which he explained was the bearing sleeve... guess its a common problem. While it seems costly, think of the time and money you'll save in the future for any other repairs you have to do up there.
