    ESP traction bar clunking?

Anyone else notice a fairly loud suspension clunk, especially at low speed turning with the ESP traction bar? I knew the heim joints make noise but didn't realize it could be this much.

And before I get all the questions, no, it's not my ball joints, tie rod ends, axles, bushings, bearings, calipers, rotors.

Just want to make sure the clunking is normal for heim joints??

Get a can of Slick 50 One Lube or any other lube compatible with polyurethane give it a good spray down, problems solve.

What? ESP makes the best chassis components available for our chassis. I'm not complaining about functionality or design of their product. Just wondering if others notice this.

I can partially reproduce the noise by firmly twisting the traction bar back and forth so it hits between the 2 tabs it's mounted to in the front. I don't think lube would help this. The heim joint itself isn't making noise, something is banging together. It's installed properly, bolts are all very tight installed with red thread lock. I need to try and record it.

My entire car is polyurethane, esp traction bar and all, after a while sounded like a tanker, driving was unbearable, did some research and found out about the One Lube, as I said problems solve try it.

PS. Without grease polyurethane sounds like iron rubbing together.

Put the hand brake on then grab the front wheels one at a time and try rotate them forward and back.

Can you feel any play, if you can the heim joints are worn.

Traction bar is brand new. But no, there's no movement that direction at all. There's no movement PERIOD in my suspension, I've pried on everything with loaded and unloaded suspension and cant get any movement. The ONLY thing that moves is the traction bar rod twisting back and forth on the heim joints (normal). The noise began after I installed the traction bar. I'm going to try to get a video with the engine off and turning and hopefully you can hear it.

Update on this: I still don't have video but after listening at the timing of the sound, it coincided with the rotation of the wheel. I remember when I installed my cv axles that the driver's inner seemed to "wobble" back and forth inside the half shaft a little bit. All my previous axles did the same so I discounted it as unimportant.

I think at higher speeds the axle must center itself (I'm getting NO vibrations) But at lower speeds it's turning and flopping a bit as gravity pulls it. It makes sense now because the sound only happens when there's low load on the axle. Higher loads keep it centered (if I am correct).

I'm going to position a camera on that inner joint and see if I'm correct. I have Raxles.com axles so if it's an axle issue the lifetime warranty will cover.

To my knowledge Raxles uses brand new axle shaft ends so it'd be odd if the shaft diameter is too small or whatever. Is it possible this is a half-shaft issue? I don't see the inside of the half shaft wearing that much...??
