    Last Koni SP3's

Hello all, I have been in contact with neuspeed about the super cup kit for our car.

They no longer list the 90-93 accord setup because they do not make the 90-93 race springs anymore, from what I have seen and from what others have said the 94-95 spring should work.

So that is what I ordered with my cup kit, as well as a set of sport springs just in case, and for winter use.

Now I have made 2 previous threads about this earlier this week, but am making this last one for two reasons

    1. to post in when I verify that the springs fit fine.

    2. because the guy I talked to today went and dug in the back and found me a set of rear sp3's for my setup.

There are no more fronts available, but he said he has ONE more set of rears in the sp3 available.

So the next person who orders a cup kit should ask for rear sp3's. The person I talked to yesterday said they were completley out, but my rep today spend 30 minuets digging through boxes because he thought there were some rears left.

So now there is exactly 1 set of rears left. I thought some people might want to know.

I will let you know about the springs.

    Regards

    Spring difference.

I was told that the springs are different, they compared them and the 94-95 spring is shorter leading to a 2.4-2.75" drop. This with the tiop perch on the sport shocks put the drop minimum about 2.1 on the cup kit for the front.

Also could a mod change the title to last sp3's sort I WaMu on phone and it changed the title.

That's quite a drop with the 5th gen springs. I'm not sure I would go that low, you might be getting past the point where it benefits you, so definitely use the stock or higher perches.

        yep

Yeah, that is the plan, on the top perch I should be at about 2" front which should be just right.

this is my current problem, when i got my neuspeed sports last year i got them from a guy selling them new off a 94-95 model and my car is much lower than it should. for some reason my front koni yellows only have 2 perch so i cant go higher

I don't know if that is your problem. I got my race springs on, and am on the top perch on the front, and on the second to top perch on my sp3 rears and there is plenty of room.

I have a 1.5-2 finger gap in back, and a 2.5 finger gap up front. I really wish I had the sp3's up front too, so that I could drop it another finger and have the drop look completly even. Some day I will have additional perches milled so I can solve this.

But it appears as though the springs are the same as the 90-93, who knows why they don't list them anymore

H&R still lists their Race springs on their site for the CB. To my knowledge. the H&R Race springs are identical (or nearly identical) to the Neuspeed springs.

hmm, i have about the same drop as 92smokeaccord and he has the neuspeed race springs on the lowest perch, i have the new 2011 model koni yellow with only two perch levels in the front and welded brake line mount, im on the top perch in the front and middle perch in the rear with neuspeed sport springs from a 94-97...and my drop seems lower than it should

Oh and i just got email from neuspeed and the 94-97 are half inch shorter than the 90-93

I do recall hearing that the stock CD suspension would lower you a little... I wonder if the stock springs are shorter as well. Probably. That's one reason why companies that engineer 90-97 parts bug me!

I can add this to the spring compilation thread. I need specifics though.

Which CD5 springs are a half inch shorter, the Neuspeed Sport or the Neuspeed Race? You should find out the spring rate as well.
