        yes to a certain point....see when u heat metal it will expand and soften...so in order to keep them in good stiffness when cooled,u must heat cherry red as quick as possable compress with th right machine and cool instanly so the metal gets hard really fast...theres a spring shop that does this for 100 for 4 springs...but the recomend that u go no lower than 2in as the stock rates will not handel the drop and bounce all over the place...

          dont use those shitty $40 ebay "coilovers" either. buy real lowering springs, or dont do it at all.
