    strut question

i've read up on the lowering faq and everything else..

here's what i plan on doing, after the holidays, get the eibach sportliners, and new struts.. well i looked up the KYB struts

    found here

now my question is, do i get the regular class struts for a 2in drop? or should i go to a super or ultimate class strut?

    thanks,

Concidering you will be going lower and on a stiffer spring you can go either way. Just not a good idea to go with stock shocks that may have been on your car for almost 20 years. Think of it as good, better, and best. stocks will be good, so on, and so forth.

With Eibach Sportline springs, I would screw the KYB shocks, and go with Koni STR.T shocks instead. The KYB "Super Class" Strut is the GR-2 model. The KYB "Ultimate Class" is the AGX model, with offers some adjustability in shock damping.

The GR-2 is designed for stock replacement, with nothing more than 15% increased stiffness falling under the warranty. The AGX, I believe, is warranted for anything less than a 1.5'' drop. Since Sportline springs are a 2'' drop, I recommend against these shocks. I am currently using GR-2 shocks for my front suspension, and although they felt great new, they have lost much of their dampening ability at 10,000 miles. And this was with relatively soft Tein springs!

I have the Koni STR.T shocks for my rear suspension, and I absolutely love them. At $78/shock on the neuspeed website, it is also a bargain. They have a lifetime warranty, and most members on here would recommend these shocks over any KYB product.

        This.

And wow, Neuspeed raised the price on the oranges. They used to be 58.50 a piece. I guess they're realizing that they're the business. That still only makes them like 20 dollars a piece more than GR2's and they're by far better.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!
