Shock Fork Trick

Looking at the fork of the CB, there's probably a little more than 1 1/2 inch between the shock and the axle already. Seems risky eh?

The steel band that the fork rests on & holds the brake lines is missing!!
This a NO NO!!! So many cut corners to "slam" your car.

uh...yeah. what is holding them there other than friction? the ones on the left have an indention that the fork rides on. the one on the right is just a slip fit. if you hit a bump hard enough, the shock would break the friction and slam into the axle
