    Vigor anti-roll-bar

Well, I just went through 1.5 hours of hell trying to fit a Vigor anti-roll-bar. Did everything correctly; swapped the Vigor bushings and brackets with my original Accord EX bushings and brackets, etc. Is there any trick to mounting this damn thing without having to force the sway bar into the mounting hole (on the outer brackets)?
I was thinking of installing the center bolts first, then working on the outers. Can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks in advance, guys.

I would, but I'm a broke college student. And I was able to get this junkyard Vigor bar for $11.00, which seemed like a screaming deal at the time. It's supposed to be a direct fit, hence my predicament

It's a slight improvement over the Accord EX bar. 16mm diameter versus 14mm from the EX. I'll eventually step up to the 22mm Progress sway bar...someday.

If its that hard, the bar probably just won't fit. Otherwise try this:

attach the bar loosely at the middle brackets. Attach the left endlink, undo the left middle bracket, then attach the right end link, then bolt the left middle bracket all the way on, then bolt the right middle bracket on.

Hopefully that makes sense. If there is any deformation in the bar, this will be the best way to make it fit, because you're essentially using the bushings/brackets to flex the bar into place.

I would just get a progress though. Even with a progress rear and stock front sway, the cb7 still has some slight understeering characteristics.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

I do believe it was the correct year Vigor; 1994 model. And definitely no rear accidents with my car; my dad bought it new and never had an accident.

I understand what you're saying. Thanks! I'll try this method out over the weekend.
I will eventually get a Progress bar, but at $200, I'm really in no place financially to get one at the moment.

I did this awhile ago to my last accord and it was a direct bolt on. I do seem to remember using either the accord brakets or the bushing (cant remember)

The Vigor brackets WILL NOT work on a CB7 rear crossmember. They are too long. I used the stock brackets off of my EX rear sway bar. I bought bushings for the CD5 (p/n 52315-SR3-900). They are the same outer diameter as the ones for the CB7 but they are 15mm instead of 14mm inner diameter. I used a barrel sander bit in a Dremel tool to enlarge the bushing to the needed 16mm. The heat from this process made the rubber a little sticky, so I used a little bearing grease on it when I installed the bar. After the bushing modification, the rest is really straight forward.

thank you for the input. I was using the correct Accord brackets and hardware, including the Accord rubber bushing. It was an impossibly tight fit, but this wasn't the source of my fitment problem.
I was mounting the entire bar incorrectly; I started on the outer-right bolt, then moved to the inner-right. When going about bolting up the outer left, I realized I'd mounted the entire bar too far to the left. I've mounted it properly now; thanks for everyone's help!
